Il y a une dizaine d’années, j’ai commencé à peindre des compositions abstraites expressionnistes sur des planches de contreplaqué trouvées dans la rue. J’ai ensuite continué dans la veine expressionniste mais dans un registre plus figuratif. Lassé, j’ai décidé d’améliorer ma technique du dessin. Je suis toujours en train d’apprendre…
Aujourd’hui mon style est figuratif, je compose mes tableaux comme des collages afin de proposer plusieurs niveaux de lecture visuelle à mes toiles. J’affectionne l’acrylique, peinture facilitant la superposition de peinture et de dessin grâce à son séchage rapide.
Pour l’essentiel je construis mes œuvres sur des questionnements philosophiques, historiques, scientifiques ou religieux. Les peintures n’apportent aucune réponse aux questions posées mais contribuent à faire ressortir leur nature, souvent contradictoire.
