EFURU(The feminist woman)
This Piece seek to address a global feminist , Strength of a women...
With the resolute female image in the work..artist portray a beautiful lady carried Efuru book in her hand..The hand cover version of the book Efuru showing a black woman on a canoe.
Efuru is eponymous novel by Flora Nwapa which was published in 1966 in Heinemann's African Writer series, making it the first book written by a Nigerian woman to be published.
This piece depicts the strength of a beautiful African woman.. The book came out to be a well written book with a profound message.
The color red in the piece reflect the shade of a flower.. Women is like a sunset of flower, Most times people just see the beauty and grace . They don't know the hurts, pains and bruises she goes through to stay beautiful and strong.
Color yellow in the piece talk about freshness, happiness, energy, clarity, intellect, loyalty of Efuru..
I see Flora Nwapa as one of the most relevant women because of her achievements as a foremost woman novelist in an environment and adventures that had been dominated by men..
