Composition #217 - Heart (2018) Malarstwo autorstwa Iskan

Immediately after I did the "Cellulite" naked buttocks, I was finishing the "Heart", an oil on canvas picture in innocent pastel colors that I long cherished in my imagination. I was painting it upside down, pointed end up. When I was going to remove the canvas from the easel and carry it away to dry, my wife entered the studio. My wife, not somebody else's wife, mind it!
- Did you paint an ass again? – asked my wife in the Inquisition tone.
- It's a heart! - I found myself in the role of Tsarevich Alexei interrogated by his father Tsar Peter the Great in the famous painting by Nikolai Ge.
- Yeah, a heart, my foot! – came a salvo of deep sarcasm from my beloved, powerful enough for Stanislavsky to applaud in his coffin.
This was the end of the conversation, and grave silence was in for several days. This is the end of the story.
I noticed that ladies married to an artist are reluctant to share their impressions of visits to his studio.
An old joke. An artist is in his studio drinking tea at the table with his model in a sitting (or rather lying) for a nude picture. A knock on the door. "Gosh, it's my wife! Take off that cover and jump into bed so that she may see that we are working!"

I do my paintings on stretched canvas, gallery wrap linen canvas. Once unwrapped, there is no need to frame because the edges of all my artworks are painted.

My paintings are securely packaged to make sure they reach you safely. All my pictures are ready to hang, wired with a cord. In fact, I usually provide hanging cords on more than one side of the picture because you may wish to hang it upside down or on the side – geometric abstraction is benign to orientation change. The picture comes with a certificate of authenticity. I sign my artworks on the back, to avoid unbalancing the subtle composition by an artifact like a signature.

Whilst many people perceive my art as design, it is essentially pure fine art, art per se, and being minimalistic and straightforward, it deceives the spectator’s eye into design.
