The Prado Museum in Madrid is one of the best museums in the world. Many books and articles have been written about it, but it is better to see it at least once with your own eyes. The museum’s collection contains some of the most complete collections of Bosch, Velazquez, Goya, Murillo, Zurbaran and El Greco. I love the paintings of Bosch and El Greco, and it was particularly important and interesting for me to visit this museum and to paint this picture – “On the Way to Prado”.
The artwork will be sent stretched, carefully packed in protective packaging with thick foam plastic and thick cardboard. Worldwide shipping.

Irina (Irene) Makarova was born in Moscow, Russia, and currently lives in London, UK.
Since 2005, she studied painting in the studio of the Russian artist Konstantin Kaufman. She graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute in 2008, and then she took an Art course at Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after Surikov. She joined the International Art Foundation in 2008. She prefers to work in oil and often uses open colours in her artwork.
Irina mostly creates expressive figurative art. The form and relationships between different forms and figures set a huge field of interpretation through different historical and mythological contexts. Irina's paintings are born in her inner world through observation and experience of the surrounding life.
Irina's art was influenced by the pictorial language of the Russian avant-garde of the early twentieth century and the work of German expressionists, as well as by Bosch, Giotto, El Greco, and Modigliani.
Irina has participated in more than 60 exhibitions in Russia and Europe. Her works are in private and public collections in England, Scotland, Russia, France, Italy, Spain, Finland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
