I went towards the city of Belomorsk to spend the night somewhere with a beautiful view on the shores of the Onega Bay. I drove along a country road for a very long time and there was no place where I could stop and rest. Sunset was coming. I was very nervous, because I was very tired and I really wanted to eat and sleep. And so I went to the bridge and this landscape opened up in front of me. Then I stopped, went out, and complete calmness washed over me. All my problems faded into the background. I enjoyed this view.Indeed, let the whole world wait with its problems and hasty life. Ilya Mihai is een fotograaf en digitale kunstenaar wiens stijl oprecht en emotioneel is.

Zijn werk en technieken strekten zich uit in verschillende richtingen, van kleur tot zwart-wit, van surrealisme tot digitale kunst, wat de honger naar kennis en experiment van de auteur laat zien.

Ilya Mihai is een autodidactische, visuele en surrealistische Russische kunstenaar. Hij werd geboren in de DDR (Duitse Democratische Republiek) in Meiningen in 1989. In 2017 begon Ilya actief de wereld rond te reizen om het straatleven van mensen en de schoonheid van de natuur op camera vast te leggen. In 2019 werd bij Ilya schizofrenie vastgesteld. De ziekte slaagde er echter niet in Ilya's geest volledig te vernietigen, en met de steun van zijn familie en vrienden kon hij zijn hallucinaties omzetten in creativiteit.
