It was empty and next to it where an area covered with these vibrant orange coloured california poppies. I combined the two elements by placing the poppies in the flower pot as I liked the contrast of the two colours of blue and orange.

I aim to bring forth feelings of happiness and positive energy with my colourful watercolour paintings inspired by nature. I paint what I see and see the natural world around me as an extension of my inner self. As a visually impaired artist, caused by a condition called blepharospasm, my latest paintings focus more on colour harmonies and overall feel of the subject rather than details. After two years of hopelessness I managed to get back into painting and I found great comfort in doing so. Although I had many years of art education both in my native Hungary and here in the UK, I am a self-taught watercolorist.
