Hicham Fahmy (Huchuco) was Born in Egypt in 1958, he moved to Germany in 1992 and became a German citizen in 1996.
He studied philosophy in Cairo and worked for several years in the tourism and hotel industry in Egypt and Germany.
His interest in art began in his early youth.
From 1999 he fulfilled his youthful dream and became a freelance artist, some years later he studied Art in Berlin (Akademie für Malerei Berlin) and was 2011-2012 guest lecturer at the same Academy.
Fahmy Lived and worked as artist for many years between Germany and the island of Fuerteventura (Canary islands) before finally settled down In Germany.
With these current digital works that he created on his mobile phone without using any AI, returned Huchuco to abstraction, following a series of paintings with Imaginary figures (mostly birds).
The breathtaking landscape of Fuerteventura, the vast sea, and the diverse flora and fauna have always been a central source of inspiration for his painting, encompassing both abstract and figurative works.
Fahmy's works offer a refuge of hope and creative expression in a world often defined by negativity. Embracing the philosophy of "I create art, therefore I am," Fahmy (Huchuco) believes that art possesses the power to counteract chaos. His emotionally charged, intuitive, and spontaneous digital paintings invite viewers to transcend the ordinary and discover the beauty inherent in diversity.
