Port Antibes (2020) 绘画 由 Herbert Canuel

I am a Filipino visual artist and musician, I was born in Banalo, Lobo Batangas in 1981. Presently based in Nice France since 2018. It was at my early years as a child when I started to liked and learned arts. I can barely remember when my parents bought me my first crayons. I knew by then that art is already part of my system.

In my elementary years in school. I was known in school who excels in drawing or art. I was chosen by my teacher as the primary artist in our class as i was task to draw human anatomy and circulatory system in our science class.

It was in high school that i experienced my first art competition as i was chosen to represent my school in various art competitions such as poster making and other art related competitions. 

After high school I'd like to take fine arts course but my parents discourage me. Instead they convince me to take bachelor of computer science which they thought i have much better career.

After finishing my degree in bachelor of science i got a chance to work Abroad in Saudi Arabia, as a coffee Maker where i learned how to make art in Coffee,

While working my passion in art never stop. I tried and learned other mediums. I studied and learned charcoal drawings, and that's the time I realized that I want to pursue my career as an artist. After I finished my contract in Saudi Arabia, I started my own business, I started Hdesignz Silkscreen and Digital Printing. I ran it for 6 years before i decided to migrate to France last 2018. Living in France was a great experience, seeing the majestic urban structures, the beautiful land and seascapes inspired me to pursue my passion in art.

Henry Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and the Post-impressionist painters are my impluence to my early works.
