I am an Italian-American artist and architect, born in Treviso, Italy, on June 1966. I still live in Italy but I mainly work in the US where I display my art in many different cities every year. I have my base in Pittsburgh, PA from which I reach other American cities.

Since I was very young, I loved sketching urban scapes. Drawing with lines I better understand and appreciate what I see with my eyes. This is a special gift I inherited from my parents who were both artists. From 1993, as an architect, I started to take with me a sketch book where I leave brief notes and sketches of my travels worldwide. From 2012, the year that changed my life due to the bad economic crisis in Italy, I had to rethink my goals and I decided to close my office and start to draw again, coming back to my previous path on the field of art. I am working in Germany and mainly in the US, from PA to OH, KY, VA, IN, NY, DC. 

Every year I start sketching at least three or four new cities and that's a great opportunity to meet more people, artists, and live well with my wife and two young daughters. My goal is to continue to explore this great country, the USA, where my ancestors came in far 1892 to work hardly as miners giving me the opportunity to come back now, as a citizen. In my sketches I combine the Italian aesthetic background with a family history rooted in the U.S. to envision the American urban landscape. I like the contrast between modern and historic buildings, and my simple sign in black and white helps to blend very well details of the contemporary era.

The global pandemic of Covid-19 had a great impact on my artistic activities. I was forced to cancel exhibitions in the United States, scheduled for 2020: the forced severance of relations with America led me to look for new opportunities in European countries. Thus, I found myself in Belgrade in April 2021, as a participant in the international project of the Belgrade Art Studio. The capital of Republic of Serbia left an extraordinary impression on me: gems of modern architecture have been added to the typically fortified European capital with palaces, squares and avenues, which enrich it and leave a special image in the architect's eye. As for modern architecture, my interest and appreciation of socialist architecture is dictated by architectural education based on the quality of buildings, their context and the details that make them unique. In October 2012 I exhibited my drawings of Belgrade at the Italian Institute of Culture, sponsored by the Italian Embassy and by the Tourist Office of Belgrade.

I work on commission for privates and business: I also sketch from photographs if the distance doesn't give me the chance to work on place. I also collaborate with editors for book illustrations.

Biografia
