Blue Mour was a deep connection between literature and painting, a dialogue between written and visual language that brought this piece to life in an instant. The inspiration from Perfume, the novel by Patrick Süskind, was powerful—its sensory obsession and the transformation of the intangible into the physical, where melancholy and cruelty coexist within a single being, revealing the duality of its soul.
The concept of magical realism fit perfectly with Blue Mour, allowing me to explore the boundary between the possible and the improbable. The painting took shape on the canvas with incredible speed—it was spontaneous, an almost automatic manifestation of the emotion captured while reading. The rapid execution was a necessary part of the process to preserve the intensity of the feeling the book evoked in me. Perhaps if I had taken more time, the character's energy would have dissipated, losing its essence.
The blue on the figure's face serves as a vehicle to convey that melancholy—or perhaps it suggests a sense of coldness, detachment, or mystery. There are details in the texture and composition that reinforce the duality of an anguished yet cruel soul.

Texture and color are pivotal in her creations, forming a rich visual language that evokes robust emotional responses. She transforms her work into a medium for shared introspection and understanding by forging a deep connection with her audience. Over the years, Glenda's talent has been celebrated in numerous exhibitions, including showcases in Havana, Montevideo, Uruguay, and Miami.
