Gandria is a small mountainside village on lake Lugano. It is very picturesque, and I will by doing many more paintings of this Village.
Painted on an MDF panel coated with 3 layers of gesso.
The painting process here is the traditional oil painting approach using layers.

I'm an artist from Scotland now living in Germany. I spent some time recently in Lugano, where my partner used to live. The light there was spectacular and I loved the turquoise Lakes.

I'm from the North East of Scotland and after spending various stages of my life in some other countries I seem to have settled here east of Berlin.
I exhibit my work locally, mostly in my own little gallery in the town centre, and at art fairs and other events, but I'm enjoying selling more and more of my artwork on online galleries, exposing my art to the world.
I am inspired by why the beautiful landscapes of places I visit, including the country of my birth. And also inspired by the female form, order female landscape as I like to call it. But I will never can find myself to any particular genre- it's not what you paint, it's how you paint it.
