Georgi Shishkov

1978 – Became a member of the Group of the Artists from Kardjali . Since this year he has participations in all exhibitions conducted in Kardjali and the area.
1979 – Participated in the General national art exhibition , Kardjali .
1979 – Participated in a movie presented the culture of Kardjali and the area.
1983, 1985, 1986 – Participated in the National art exhibition with title “Friends of the Sea” , Bourgas .
1989, 1992, 1994, 1997 – Participated in National exhibitions of the teachers - artists , Veliko Tarnovo .
1993 – Participated in the general art exhibition of the Artists from Sofia and Kardjali , Sofia .
1995 – Participated in jointly art exhibition of french and bulgarian artists, organizated from the mayor of Marcey,France. Shishkov is nominated with a medal .
1996 – Participated in the National art exhibition with title “The Sea” in gallery “Vitosha” , Sofia .
1998 – Participated in the regular exhibitions in gallery “DAR” , Kardjali .
2000 - 2003 – Participated in Charity auctions , Kardjali .
2002 – Participated in the general art exhibition of the Artists from Kardjali in gallery “Bovjel” , Plovdiv .
2003 - Solo exhibition "Sea and Truth" in "Bovjel" Fine Arts Gallery, Plovdiv,BULGARIA

Born august 21, 1950 in Plovdiv,Bulgaria. G.Shishkov started to paint seriously when he finished his educational education- he`s a painting teacher in High School.Artist`s big love for the Sea oriented him to the marine landscapes and when he got to know the creativity of the great russian artist I.K.Aivazovski and bulgarian marinist Al.Mutaffov he turned completely to the marine landscapes.

Since 1973 until now he`s painted almost 650 artworks.G.Shishkov is a member of the Society of the Painters in Kardjali,Bulgaria,where he lives and works for more than 20 years.The artist has participated in many exhibitions in Bulgaria,including national exhibitions in Sofia,Plovdiv and Bourgas.There are many paintings,that he has done in galleries in Bulgaria and in private collections.Also G.Shishkov has paintings outside of the country bought by collectors in Spain,Germany,France,Turkey,Kuwait,USA,Belgium,Canada and Izrael.

He paints basically with canvas and oil.G.Shishkov`s paintings are in realistic style with romantic shade.He draws the Sea in its different states,but artist`s favourite theme is the stormy and violent Sea.He often visits towns and villages that are by the Black Sea and he makes a lot of freehand drawings.Except for the Sea G.Shishkov also loves to paint the Nature in its different seasons and the Forest landscapes.Lately it`s been an enormous pleasure for the artist and a challenge to paint a pictures with biblical themes.Because he pays too much attention on the details sometimes he may works over a painting for 15-20 days.
