Alex Levin (born 1975 in Kiev, Ukraine) is an internationally acclaimed artist whose works have captivated audiences across the globe. His art has been featured in prestigious private and public collections in the United States, Israel, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, and Ukraine. Known for his mastery of both surrealism and realism, Levin skillfully employs diverse techniques, including oil, acrylic, pencil, charcoal, and tempera paints. His signature style often incorporates the 16th-century multi-layering technique, which blends tempera and oil paints seamlessly without visible brushstrokes, adding a timeless quality to his work.
After serving in the Israel Defense Forces for three years, Levin immigrated to Israel, where he studied industrial and web design. He was mentored by the esteemed Professor Baruch Elron, the Chairman of the Israel Artist Association, for over a decade. This mentorship profoundly shaped Levin’s artistic development and inspired his lifelong dedication to exploring and refining new styles and techniques.
Levin’s work has drawn admiration from numerous prominent figures, including actor Richard Gere, pop icon Madonna, jazz musician Oscar Peterson, and former Israeli president Ezer Weizman. His unique ability to convey spirituality, culture, and emotion has earned him recognition as one of the most distinctive contemporary artists of his generation.
