At the age of 14, my grandfather Valentin created on April 20, 1880 a herbarium. He carefully pasted dried plants and labeled them. For 140 years, pressed flowers and plants now lay in this notebook, gradually changing their colors and strengthening their structures through the drying process. Time created works of art of unique beauty. The passing of these living creatures was thus prolonged. Once again they rebel in all their beauty against the transience of all being.
These pressed plants inspired me to make art. I photographed all these plants, edited the digital data in Photoshop, enhanced colors and contrasts, created enlargements in image details. Photo works of art were created, which may somewhat outlast the ephemeral nature of all material existence.

Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta (315 g/m²) with Epson UltraChrome Pro pigments. Archival Standard.

EDITION of 20 plus 4 AP (Artist's Proofs) Print size: 26 x 26 cm on A3plus
Signed and titled recto and an enclosed signed certificate of authenticity with all important data. A numbered hologram is attached to the certificate of authenticity and the back of the print. Please allow for production and dispatch up to 10 days.
