Biographie
Serge Horta est un photographe documentaire basé à Hong Kong.
Grâce à sa formation académique en architecture, il est capable de capturer un ordre impossible au milieu du chaos des villes. Ses photographies sont le résultat d'une obsession hypnotique sur la façon dont les différentes cultures vivent, s'adaptent et interagissent avec l'environnement bâti, de la banlieue parfaitement entretenue au bidonville tentaculaire. Son vaste portfolio documente la métamorphose des paysages urbains dans lesquels il a vécu ou simplement traversé - de Sydney à New York, de Londres à Guangzhou. Au milieu du bruit et du chaos, Serge parvient à trouver des moments de paix et de silence.
Ayant photographié dans plus de 70 pays, il rencontre et interagit avec les résidents locaux, nous voyons des histoires profondément personnelles et immensément humaines émerger de ce qui est souvent négligé, faisant une impression puissante et pénétrante sur le spectateur. Le travail de Serge est conservé dans des collections privées aux États-Unis, au Japon, à Hong Kong, aux Pays-Bas, au Royaume-Uni, en Espagne, au Portugal, en France et en Suisse.
