For the love of black children, and during my search for royalty free images of African children, I stumbled on this child under the tag “Poverty”. The child looks like a street begger, probably living under poor conditions, written off or even stigmatized. Perhaps he was playing/running around when called upon and this image was photographed. He looks head on into the camera with a powerful look and squinted eyes. And almost immediately you can tell he isn’t afraid or ashamed to be photographed. He’s BOLD, BRAVE and FIERCE. I believe he can overcome anything. Yes, anything. I was not afraid to express my self and my artistry in this drawing, using very dark tones and harsh lines! I was in tune with the theme! I felt unstoppable.
This is a personal best for me. I absolutely love this drawing. I connect with the child in the drawing, not because I can necessarily relate to his story. But because I understand, because it moves me. It makes me want to look my insecurities in the eye and overcome them, you can too.

Hi my name is Jozzy.

I am a young talented woman, that loves to express herself through art. I am a freelance professional pencil artist and digital illustrator. I have been making pencil drawings for about 5 years now and digital illustrations for 2 years plus. I sell prints of my work and also take full on commissions. I make 1 of 1’s and limited series of beautiful art works. I sometimes experiment with other medium of creating art, I paint on clothes, shoes, walls etc. I do not limit my creativity!
