"Les vestiges du jour" is a painting very melancholic, like the last time you will cuddle in the grass with the one you love, you roll and you look in front of you trying to capture the moment and make it an eternity.
The painting is called after the story of Kazuo Ishiguro, beautiful and sad love story.

This series of paintings is called "Flirtation with reality".
It's an evocation of nature and countryside, an evocation of natural landscapes, I made the realism more obvious than in the other paintings, pushing further the borders between abstraction and realism.
The hues used are less flashy, less colour contrasted -even if that can still happen- (the transitions between colours are more subtle), tinted with a touch of melancholy. I want it more romantic, with a lingering feeling of nostalgia, but in a poetic way.

"Les vestiges du jour " is painted with acrylic on a stretched canvas (standard cotton), it is signed on the front, and will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

It's going to be two years that I am trying to make a living out of my Art for my daughter and I,
I am slowly getting there as my work now, can be found worldwide in private collectors' home.
In my case, abstraction has slowly become my medium for sharing my mood, my emotions, there is no limitation, no boundaries with lines and colours, with shapes and tonalities in the abstract world.
My profound desire is to give love and calmness to the ones who look at my art, to give them a peaceful frame of mind same as when I paint.

I have studied at many schools which held art courses. All of my spare time has been filled with art of all sorts, including art history as well. I finally joined a Fine Art school for six years where I earned two degrees.
There has been a great desire always present in me, a desire to show what I could see, to translate those impressions that are living inside me.
I love gathering fragments and samples which have caught my eye wherever I go. Then whatever I see, reappears somewhere in my paintings, I am an idealist, a dreamer, so I try to recreate a harmony between memories, colours, shapes and fragment. As a result, my artwork is abstract, but tinted with some realistic impressions, even if I keep making what I call pure abstract.

I refuse to get caught in a style, and to become a commercial painter, I want to be out of my comfort zone, exploring, experimenting, digging and entertaining an evolution through my painting, I want my painting to grow with me.
I don't paint any human figures, with what we are doing our planet, I don't feel like celebrating the humans in my artwork, I prefer celebrating nature which is striving for its survival.

So, today, I became a full time painter influenced by many artists of all sort, Rothko, Kandinsky, Monet, The Nabis, Tom Thomson, Odilon Redon that I adore, Gustave Moreau - so many artists dead or still alive.

I also wish to have my late friend, Ingrid, known for what I am today, for what I paint. She was my best friend, she was a great painter, and she has gone too soon, she continues to live through my choices in art; she made me more colourful, and her legacy is that freedom that I have developed in my style. It took years before that flower finally bloomed inside me.
