Edmar Gonçalves

Fortaleza | São Paulo, Brésil
Artiste (Peinture, Dessin)
Né(e) en 1962

Edmar is quite detailist and perfectionist in his art. This can be noticed since when he was a child, because he was the last to be ready when he played in costume of indian or cowboy. After all, he would like to be as real as possible.
Besides this, Edmar is also seen to be a great storyteller of cases, within the really sense of humour, because he always seeks to see the world with another perspective.
In his 35-year career, his phases in the plastic arts are a natural impulse.
He always liked the Brazilian Regionalism, reflected in the Landscaping and Dead Nature phases. Other really deep phases are Nus, in which he have used the technique of hyperrealism. It is also worth mentioning the phases of Abstract and Figuratives.
However, his bigger expressions are “The Rainbow Warriors”.
"I'm trying to explain, but in reality there's no explanation, it's an impulse. Sometimes there is something stored in my subconscious that translates in an unexpected way in the execution of the work", says Edmar.
It's nice to say that Edmar is also a musician and song's composer.
