Contemplation of the soul (2021) 绘画 由 Evgenia Kiperiya

I grew up in the city of Engels, this is the Saratov region, we have a lot of rivers and lakes with fresh water.

The Volga River flows between Saratov and Engels, a 3 km long bridge stretches across the Volga. I studied in Saratov and on the way to study at the Academy of Arts for 4 years I sat every day on the bus at the window and looked at the water of the Volga.

I analyzed her behavior. If the sky is clear, the sun is shining - the water is blue or deep blue. If the sky is gray, the water is also gray, if the sky is gloomy, the water is black, if there is fog, the water is simply not visible, only the next 5 meters of the bridge road can be seen. If the sunset is pink or orange, the water copies it exactly. In most cases, the water copies the sky like a mirror.

This is a very beautiful picture. But there are downsides.
In the month of August, the water begins to bloom, algae break away from the bottom and begin to travel across the expanses of the river. In fact, it's terribly scary, you swim in the water, do not bother anyone, and then suddenly something touches you from the back, goosebumps run through your body, you turn around and see nothing, but if you dive in and open your eyes... you will see a huge dark cloud of water and slime. This is a terrible sight. All kinds of bugs, worms, spiders and leeches can also sit on algae.
This is a wild horror.

Also, from an increase in the amount of algae, the water begins to turn green. Therefore, soon people stop swimming in the river, even in spite of 40 degrees of heat.

That is why I have always been attracted to the sea. Of course, the invasion of huge jellyfish attracts me little, but as practice has shown, you can just float on the mattress and not touch anyone. If you're lucky, no one will touch you either.

But most of all I like the azure color of the water. Sea water lives its own life and has no time to depend on the capricious sky, which changes its mood every minute.
The sea water wanted - copied the sky, wanted and ignored.

In my painting, I portrayed an incredible moment. Gloomy sky after a thunderstorm, absolutely azure color of the sea and red sand. if you close your eyes and imagine this picture, you can feel the fresh sea smell after the storm and hear the cry of seagulls.

This is the purest thrill!
I don't know about you, but I dissolve from the buzz at such moments and just enjoy the contemplation of this beauty.

I used a solvent when working, therefore there is no glossy sheen, the work turned out with a matte finish and a semi-glossy effect, but it is very light!
