My name is Eva Mendas.
I am an aspiring artist.I was born in Udmurtia, in the city of Izhevsk. I studied in Pavlovsk, Leningrad Region, at the college “Interregional Center for the Rehabilitation of People with Hearing Impairments”, where I earned a degree in design.
Currently, I live in Saint Petersburg and am actively growing as an artist: I paint animals, birds, and portraits of people. I study art and explore my own unique style.
I have a special trait — a hearing impairment. I don’t hear the sounds of the world around me, but I feel them through my paintings. My hands and eyes are my true connection to art: what my eyes see, my imagination transforms into images.
My love for drawing was born in childhood. I especially enjoy painting portraits of beautiful women, capturing their divine essence, the sparkle in their eyes, and their elegance. I also find inspiration in nature — in its living energy and endless diversity.
I am the granddaughter of an artist who was well-known in Udmurtia. My grandfather created paintings and illustrations on everyday and fairy-tale themes. Some of his works are still kept in textbooks, books, and the local museum. I’m proud of our family’s artistic legacy — it gives me strength and motivation to never give up on painting.
With love for art.
