Pallas est un Géant, fils de Gaïa (la Terre) et d'Ouranos (le Ciel) ou du Tartare (les Enfers). Lors de la gigantomachie, il fut vaincu par Athéna : la déesse l'écorcha entièrement et se servit de sa peau comme d'une armure.
Nous retrouvons la peau de PALLAS recouvrant les épaules de ATHENA, peau matérialisant les ailes d'ATHENA
