I'm Emanuelle Viana Pontual, I have Ben graduated in arteducacion by the Federal university of Pernambuco (UFPE). I have studied painting on the Pernambuco's visual artists association (AAPP). Was born in Recife, Pernambuco In October of 1978. I have lived all my life in Pernambuco walking though Olinda and Recife, I've learned to love paper machê por by it's great straight and presence I'm my home state such as in the manufacturing of the legendary giant dolls in Olinda as a medium to produce al kinds of craft. I have learn the paper machê technique by the age of 11 With my father. At that time we use to do glove puppets, the puppet theatre is something very strong and popular in Pernambuco's culture. I she worked in social projects, popular education and child education.
Com o papel machê comecei realmente a criar bonecos de luva aqui conhecidos como mamulengos. Mas com o passar do tempo comecei a pesquisar formas de fazer esculturas em papel machê como forma de complementar minha renda. Por método de tentativa e erro comecei a experimentar diferentes formas de construção tanto com meus alunos quanto sozinha em meu espaço de criação.
Desde muito cedo também me interessei por questões ambientais e o papel machê por ser uma técnica passível de reciclar papel e outros materiais me cativou ainda mais, Acredito na importância de se preservar o meio ambiente, respeitar e proteger os animais. Não façamos apenas a nossa parte, façamos sempre um pouco mais para que nossas crianças não cresçam no lixo que produzimos!
