Sandra Platas Hernández es una fotógrafa de bellas artes radicada en España. Nació y creció en Madrid pero obtuvo su Licenciatura en Fotografía en Edimburgo, Escocia. Sandra vivió allí durante casi diez años donde no sólo creció como artista sino también como persona. Había viajado a múltiples países, donde tuvo la oportunidad de desarrollar su estilo a través de sus experiencias de vida y viajes.
Desde temprana edad se interesó por las artes en general, desde la cerámica y la artesanía hasta
pintura y fotografía. Pronto se obsesionó con la belleza. Ella sólo quiere mostrar, crear y encontrar la belleza en todas partes y en todos. Pero al mismo tiempo, la vida y la muerte también están presentes en su obra. Crear situaciones era y sigue siendo lo que más disfruta. Su obra destaca por su capacidad de subvertir lo ordinario hacia algo bello y único.
