Frank Wichmann es un artista autodidacta que creció en Neu Darchau en el Elba y nació el 19 de enero de 1963 en Dannenberg (Lüchow-Dannenberg). Se mudó a Stuttgart, luego a Gerlingen, cuando tenía diez años. Desde 2006 vive y trabaja en Magstadt. En octubre de 2021 ha participado en los SPC Photo Awards Stuttgart, Galerie Strzelski.
