Олег Кулешов родился в 1964 году в городе Новошахтинск Ростовской области. В 1976 году поступил в художественную школу и два месяца обучался живописи, но ввиду скучности преподавания бросил ее. Среднюю школу также не удалось окончить уже по причине веселого нрава. В 1980 году написана первая работа маслом и множество графики тушью, в основном портреты рок-музыкантов и групп Beatles, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Who, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Nasareth и других. В то время приобрести плакаты интересующих групп было практически невозможно, а имея способности — грех не воспользоваться; многие из тех картинок были перефотографированы и разошлись в кругу знакомых прямо-таки массовым тиражом, так как они были похожи на реальные фотографии музыкантов. На эти фотографии выменивались магнитофонные записи, струны для гитары, сигареты и спиртные напитки, а один раз даже целый альбом Led Zeppelin «Phusical Graffiti». Под влиянием выставки Александра Исачева в конце 80х — начале 90х создаются работы на религиозную тематику. В 1993 году состоялось знакомство в Москве с Сергеем Тарабаровым, Ксенией Георгиевной Богемской и галереей «Дар». Уже тогда художник хотел избавиться от «наивности» в своих работах и начинает самообразование — изучает основы линейной перспективы, цвет в живописи, совершенствует рисунок и композицию. В 2007 году отправляется в Москву, где полностью погружается в искусство, осваивает новые техники. Пишет на заказ портреты детей и иконы для храмов. Работы Олега Кулешова находятся в собраниях и частных коллекциях России, Украины, Беларуси , Германии.
