Philippe Berthier es un fotógrafo autodidacta que crea imágenes que desdibujan los límites entre la fotografía y la pintura. Le fascinan las imágenes de todos los formatos, ya sean fílmicos o digitales, y en ocasiones les añade pintura.
Se siente especialmente atraído por los temas de la mujer, la vida y el movimiento en general. Su obra está marcada por la experimentación de varios métodos de creación, los collages sobre diferentes soportes, el uso de diversos materiales... Como un alquimista en su guarida, el laboratorio es para él un campo de experiencia aparte.
Philippe Berthier es un artista francés, nacido en 1966 en Maine et Loire, que actualmente vive y trabaja en Trébeurden (Francia). Su obra ha sido publicada en la revista Artension (Francia), y ha participado en numerosas exposiciones.
