Why isn't my site appearing first on Google, or after my ArtMajeur profile?
ArtMajeur is a very old site (since 2000), with very important traffic of collectors and art lovers (more than 1 million visitors per month). It thus enjoys an authority status with Google and all ArtMajeur profiles are well referenced by Google.
When you create a site, it must prove itself before Google indexes it correctly: that is to say to show to Google that the content of the site is interesting, that it receives qualified visitors and that it has numerous links that point to him (the most important).
It can take from a few days to a few weeks.
Once you have many links to your site, qualified content and regular traffic, Google may index your site in the first search results for a search on your name, including in front of your ArtMajeur profile, because your site will then offer a fully specialized content dedicated to your work, which is an even greater authority for your work!

There may be several reasons for this:

The searches you perform are customized by Google and tailored specifically to you. If you visit your ArtMajeur account regularly, Google will rank it first because it thinks it's more relevant to you.
- Less inbound links
The ranking of your site may have dropped because links that pointed to it (from forums or other sites) have been removed or downgraded by Google.
- Google Algorithm modification
Google changes its ranking algorithm very regularly, a place in the ranking is never definitively acquired!
- Too many outbound links, or some penalized links
If your site contains links to sites that are penalized by Google (whatever the reasons), it also penalizes your site by ricochet!

Is it a problem if my site appears after my ArtMajeur profile?
Not at all! your domain name is useful so that you can communicate easily, especially outside the internet (business cards, flyers etc ...) but it requires a lot of work on your part to rank in the search engines. If you do not have the time or budget to promote your website, it does not matter: the important thing is that customers can easily find your profile, see your work, and contact you directly. Whether they do it from your profile or from your site does not matter.
