You must have a valid PRO Site on ArtMajeur
You must be the current owner of the domain to be able to transfer it
Domain must have been booked more than 60 days ago
Go to MY ARTMAJEUR > PRO SITE > DOMAIN NAME and choose DOMAIN TRANSFER
Contact your current provider where you registered the domain and ask for a transfer code or "AUTH CODE"
Ask your current provider to UNLOCK the domain and set its status as ACTIVE.
Enter the AUTH CODE on MY ARTMAJEUR > SITE PRO
Once you have transmitted the AUTH CODE, the transfer procedure will be started and emails will be sent to the technical and administrative contacts associated with the domain.
IMPORTANT: You will have to accept all the transfer emails that you will receive, otherwise the transfer will be canceled.
How long does the transfer take?
It depends on the time that the current contacts have to accept the transfer. Once all contacts have authorised the transfer, it may take from 24h up to 7 days for the DNS servers to be updated worldwide. As a rule of thumb, once the contacts associated with the domain have all accepted the transfer emails, the procedure is usually finalised within 2 to 3 days.
Good To know:
You do not need to create a new site on ArtMajeur, the domain will point to the account from which you placed your order
Visitors will still be able to access your site from your free address, or your domain
Only the domain name is transferred, not the content of the site of your former host
You can transfer a domain 60 days after the purchase, or a previous transfer
