The sale went very well… simple, precise and fast. However, I did not receive an e-mail confirmation/receipt of payment. I had to log into my ARTMAJEUR account to read this information.
I was paid by Paypal. I only send a work upon receipt of payment on my bank account. I do not accept bank checks. And I trust ARTMAJEUR to secure the sale.
I used Artmajeur's purchase order and invoice system but I will issue a new invoice with my company's header.
I will of course recommend Artmajeur to a friend!
It is very important in my opinion to create a customer file to invite to the shows where I actively participate.
And I'm a rather modern artist… who would tend to reduce his collaborations with galleries (which often ask for 50%) and, to exhibit directly at contemporary art fairs and fairs…
but also on platforms like ARTMAJEUR.
This brings a plus to the customer relationship… customers are also changing and they have adapted to the new way of discovering artists… and also of buying art via the INTERNET.
It makes it easier for me to sell my work because I'm best able to showcase it.
My advice: Concerning the pitfalls:
- Fake sellers: they send you an e-mail that is far too detailed to buy several canvases…. It's too good to be true! WARNING!
- Do not accept bank or bank checks. They can be recredited up to several months later… Some bankers don't even know it!
- We send a work only when the payment is received on the account.
- Do not rush things or the sale… Better a missed sale than a return from a customer who has changed his mind.
Regarding the recommendations:
- Update his works regularly
- Present crisp photos with true-to-original colors
- Offer workshop prices to your direct customers
- Stay connected to your e-mail box so as not to miss a sale or contact
