Rihanna's marble baby bump was honored at the Met Gala. Vogue shared a video of her cover pose as a marble statue. The statue was created by the animation studio ApeManRobot.

Rihanna has been serving looks throughout her pregnancy, so she had an excuse not to attend the Met Gala on May 2 — especially after gracing the cover of Vogue just a few months ago.

It was thanks to that cover, in fact, that her baby bump was still visible at the event. Vogue shared a video of a digital rendering of Rihanna's cover pose as a marble statue, created by animation studio ApeManRobot and displayed alongside other marble statues at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

"The statue of 'Eirene (The Personification of Peace)' is usually the most visible marble goddess of the Greco-Roman galleries," wrote the magazine. "But now we've got the Marble statue of Rihanna, fresh off the cover of Vogue this month."

Rihanna herself was honored by the tribute, tweeting, "Shut down the met in marble!" in reference to the "gilded glamour" theme. What could be more gilded than that?" "Y'all bad for this one," she said of Vogue.

We agree — too bad you didn't commission a real-life marble statue! Sculpted Rihannas still have nothing on the real Rihanna.
