Three thematic evenings will be dedicated to Chu Teh-Chun, Francis Bacon & Lucian Freud, as well as Fred Deux & Cécile Reims , making this 11th edition an unmissable event for art lovers.

Each year, the International Film Market on Contemporary Artists (MIFAC) invites art lovers to discover exceptional documentaries dedicated to contemporary visual artists. Contemporary painters, sculptors, printmakers, and photographers are showcased through more than thirty films screened at this unmissable event.

A festival open to today's art

Since its first edition in September 2015 , MIFAC has established itself as an essential cultural event for art and cinema enthusiasts. More than three hundred films have already been screened, testifying to the richness and diversity of contemporary creation. The event is now held every spring at the Espace Franquin in Angoulême , an ideal venue for these artistic encounters.

A space for meetings and exchanges

MIFAC isn't just about screenings: it also provides a platform for dialogue between artists, gallery owners, collectors, filmmakers, and production companies. In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, the festival fosters exchanges between professionals and art lovers, making the experience all the more enriching.

A festival that also celebrates art books

Alongside the films, MIFAC also offers an Art Book Fair . Around fifteen specialist publishing houses, such as Citadelles & Mazenod , present works dedicated to contemporary artists. A great opportunity for enthusiasts to discover exceptional publications.

A high-level 2025 program

The 11th edition of MIFAC , which will be held from March 27 to 30, 2025 at Espace Franquin in Angoulême , promises a high-quality program. Thirty new films will be presented, highlighting contemporary creation in all its forms.
