Under the collection name "Never Fear Truth," the actor is issuing non-fungible tokens – one-of-a-kind, verifiable digital assets sold using blockchain technology. Johnny Depp, Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Hunter S. Thompson, Heath Ledger, daughter Lily-Rose Depp, Tim Burton, Johnny's late dog Mooh, and a fictional character created by his son called Bunnyman are among those featured in the portraits, which were created from original artwork by Depp and then embellished and animated.
"I've always used art to communicate my sentiments and to reflect on those who matter most to me, like my family, friends, and people I admire," Depp, 58, said in a statement. My paintings are everywhere around me, yet I keep them to myself and keep them confined. No one should ever limit themselves.”
Depp's style is a blend of pop and street art, featuring vibrantly colored representations of pop culture characters. The exhibition is the first public showing of Depp's paintings, which he describes as "reflections of the individual's nature." The Los Angeles Children's Hospital, Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, and The Gonzo Trust, established in remembrance of Depp's idol Hunter S. Thompson, will receive 25% of all earnings from the sales.

Thousands of NFTs will be available for purchase through www.neverfeartruth.com, which will open applications on Wednesday, and secondary transactions will be facilitated by leading multi-chain NFT marketplace www.rarible.com. Each NFT is also backed with a high-resolution physical edition which may be redeemed only once. Cryptocurrency education and a fair raffle to assign purchasing rights have been put in place to ensure Johnny's supporters have a good chance of success — even if they have never purchased an NFT before. Of the further 1,111 NFTs, the majority will be owned by Depp, who will be gifting them to fans and his favorite charities.
