The writing for Alex Israel's show in Rome was said to have been written by an AI chat bot.

Alex Israel, an artist from the United States, is a big fan of ChatGPT. Israel's new show Fins opens at the Gagosian Gallery in Rome on May 12. It features a "collection of giant, plastic, colored surfboard Fin sculptures" that were "crafted with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a collection of works that are both playful and strikingly beautiful," according to a flowery press release with the heading "Generated by ChatGPT.

The move shows how artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots are making their way into the art world. The press release sounds like any other communication letter, with the exception of a few exaggerated phrases like "This is an opportunity not to be missed."
