Despite spending a year at the École des Beaux-arts in Lyon, in 2010, L'Indien considers himself a self-taught artist . And in fact, after this passage to the Fine Arts, he decides to stop his artistic practice. It was only two years later that the need to draw and paint reappeared. The artist then goes back to work and has continued since in a very simple, empirical way, developing his technique as he practices. Little by little, he creates a universe filled with parallel stripes , evoking mountains, and at the same time discovers the infinite possibilities of a pattern made of simple, but very suggestive stripes. This will be the basis of a work that manages to renew itself on this very simple and restrictive base.
The artist draws his inspiration from three artistic areas: abstract art , the land-art and street art .
He adds his personality, his gaze, in order to offer a contemplation of the world he invents for himself. More than anything, with a very simple graphic basis, the artist does not seek to show but to offer a contemplative experience . He uses lines as a vector of passing time, while making them a means of evoking the world around him, this whole made up of little things, this conglomerate of particles which forms existence.
The Indian is anxious to keep a fairly instinctive work, where the work is born “ by painting, by drawing ”, as the appetite comes with eating. “ The starting point can be a color, a shape or a combination of colors, for example the painting Evaporation of the horizon. Sometimes it's just an idea, a reflection made around a bend in a street, a remark related to something that has been observed as for the OEAG - Free Work of Art series, which is an example of my work in the street ”.
Because the artist never forgets that art is not just a personal journey. It is also a sharing that motivates him to practice his art in the street. The artist presents this OAG series - Free Work of Art on his Instagram account: “ This project came to me because I am interested in means of promotions and local information. We have all seen these posters on a post where we offer our services or where we inform that we have lost our animal. The bottom of the poster is always filled with the pre-cut telephone number of the person to call. The idea is to divert this means of communication to turn it into a work of art. The main information is that this work is free and that anyone can observe it or take it with them. The phone number has been replaced by the artwork which is electronically signed and numbered on the back. There is also the address of my Instagram account if ever these people wish to be more interested in my work or to let me know that they have recovered part of the work. ". 
“ In general, what interests me in my practice of Street-art is the consumption of art and information, to mix the two and to propose a different way of consuming art. , like street art to eat in or take away. This bias means that most of my works in the street end up in the public trash ”.
This radical end in no way disturbs the artist. When you are surprised, the answer bursts out: " What I do is useless, just like art ."
