"The incredible ability of generative AI to produce texts and images that are both complex and plausible has very early on worried the creative professions," recall Jean Ponce, Professor of Computer Science at the École Normale Supérieure – PSL, and Isabelle Ryl, Professor of Computer Science, on secondment at PSL University, in a point of view published in Le Monde.

But, "as AI practitioners and researchers," the two authors believe that "the artistic field can be, just like science and industry, an exciting source of new problems and scientific challenges to be addressed, as well as an opportunity to create a new playground where artists and AI researchers can together find new expressions for their creativity."
