This painting captures a breathtaking moment of serenity as a young girl sits in a boat, surrounded by tranquil turquoise waters. She appears to be an observer; simply taking in her gorgeous surroundings without resistance or struggle. The girl gazes up to the sky and is presumably marveling at the birds which gracefully fly overhead. Behind her, a huge liquid clock cascades in a waterfall, beckoning her to go with the unobstructed flow of time. The combination of turquoise, sky blue and forest green colors which cover the canvas adds a peaceful atmosphere to the painting, providing a reminder of the beauty of letting go.

A self-taught artist from Germany, Edita Sarukhanyan was born (1984) and grown up in Tbilisi, Georgia. She obtained her B.Sc (2005) and M.Sc (2009) in Biophysics from Tbilisi State University (Georgia) and PhD in Chemistry (2013) from joint PhD program between the University of Salerno (Italy) and Jacobs University Bremen (Germany). She worked for 6 years as a researcher designing drugs at the University of Wurzburg. After finishing her job contract at the University, Edita decided to follow the voice of her heart by making her childhood dream come true and now she is a full-time artist.

Edita is inspired by the masterpieces and painting style of great masters of Renaissance epoch such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael.
