In the interval between venues, the leadership of the Sochi Geographical Society asked to decorate an important event for the organization with some works - the 65th anniversary! The works were personally selected by the Chairman of the Civil Society. The event took place on October 18.

WINDOWER AND MYTHS OF ANCIENT GREECE
Yinx - the daughter of the goat-footed Pan and the mountain nymph Echo, the granddaughter of Hermes - was the inventor of magical love spells (Myths of Ancient Greece).
One day she prepared a love drink and gave it to Zeus.
Zeus's wife, Hera, punished Yinx and turned her into a whirligig bird, dooming her to eternal participation in magical rites.
In antiquity, a pinwheel was tied to a rotating wheel. Both the rotation of the wheel and the turn of the neck of the whirligig were supposed to bring back lost love.
In the odes of Pindar, Aphrodite gave Jason a wheel with a crucified pinwheel so that he would bewitch Medea.
Over time, all rotating objects in love magic began to be called whirligigs.
