A new direction, still getting defined. A reverence for our beautiful universe shared by all beings. A deep desire for inner peace and freedom. A love for all creatures just for merely existing. I'm SO GRATEFUL! These paintings are never planned, and therefore no line or color choice is a mistake. Like our beautiful universe, it's just happening. ENJOY!

This work represents timely advice received from Dominic's father and artist, A. Charles "Charlie" DiJulio. A month before he was to pass away, Charlie told Dominic to pick a subject and paint a series. Immediately after Charlie's passing, Dominic was compelled to do just that. The skull is feared, revered and iconic. In the familiar sense, the image of the skull marks loss and grief yet expresses a defiance to social norms and comforts. To the artist the skull also represents metamorphosis, a shedding of old ways to a blissful existence.
