D. Richers is a geologist, author, and private pilot whose paintings are inspired by the many places he visited over the course of his career both in the US and abroad. He has participated in numerous local art shows in the US since 2012 and has sold numerous pieces on various on-line platforms. His art typically is of landscape scenes emphasizing  a geologic theme, although he has dabbled in still life works, ocean scenes, and nocturnal pieces. At the current time he has over 300 art pieces on sale through various platforms, but his motivation is not necessarily monetary, but rather is driven by his love of nature and his passionate need to produce art.
