My name is Daria Gerasimova and I currently live in Leipzig.
My path to art was long. I was born in a small town in Russia. During my life, I managed to work as a seller of insurance and Windows, Then became an engineer and worked in it support, was also a makeup artist and after that (finally!) I came to painting.
5 years ago, after moving to Moscow, I myself learned the basics of pencil drawing, learned the basics of drawing. I discovered watercolors, and then oil.
Then I took private lessons from the best masters of watercolor and oil painting.
Now I am fulltime artist and painting means a lot to me. I managed to make painting my main source of income!
Initially, the purpose of my painting is a way of coping with my personal experiences. I live emotions and sensations through a frozen moment in the picture.
At the moment, the topic of gender equality and acceptance of the female body is important to me. Now I work only with oil paints in the following directions: realism, pop art, figurative.
Before I started painting, I felt that I was living incomplete, there was no purpose and harmony in life.
I can only get up in the morning for the sake of painting. An important part of my creativity is the sale of paintings. It is an exchange of energy between the artist and the buyer.
I like to sell paintings to different parts of the world - this is how I feel that I am energetically spreading wider than my physical shell and I am in many places at the same time.
My paintings are an emotion or a feeling frozen in the moment.
I'm not going to tell you how to feel when interacting with my paintings. I'm catching the moment, and you, looking at it, can experience a lot of different emotions, everyone will have their own.
These are very personal experiences.
