🇫🇷J ai rencontre André VERDET dans mon atelier. Il appréciait mon travail et cela me faisait plaisir. Ami de Picasso, Arman, Braque, Cocteau, Eluard, Chagall, Miro, Prevert, Giono, Leger, Il était peintre , sculpteur, céramiste, poète, écrivain, critique d'art et musicien. Très actif pendant la guerre il fut résistant et déporté a Auschwith Buchenwald.

Il m'a offert un livre qu'il m'a dédicacé. Ce geste m'a touchée. Au cours de nos conversations, j'ai admiré sa vivacité d'esprit, son intelligence et sa culture. On comprend pourquoi il fut l'ami de tant d'artistes.

 He offered me a book that he dedicated to me. During our conversations I admired his vivacity of spirit his intelligence and his culture. We understand why he was the friend of so many artists.
