Born in the vibrant city of Port-Sudan, located by the Red Sea, before moving with my family to Khartoum, where the dusty streets influenced the color palette of my artwork.
I began painting as a way to cope with family matters, relationships and social limitations, we as women, encounter on daily basis. Using oil paint as my main medium; creating female-centric figurative paintings that reflect the contemporary struggles with tradition and social norms.
