Cassandra was a beautiful Trojan priestess given the gift of prophecy. She was cursed by the god Apollo so that her true prophecies would not be believed (the curse of Cassandra).
This is a classical painting that is made using time consuming old world methods. Firstly, the composition is carefully formed and then transferred using a grid pattern on to a stretched canvas. The canvas has been treated with several layers of acrylic paint and sanded, in order to form a smooth and rigid surface to work on. The painting coloration is developed by using multiple layers of translucent complementing colors. With each layer of work small aesthetic changes are made. These small changes help to ultimately beautify the final image...
