SUMMER FALL (2024) 绘画 由 Cristiana Canzanese

Cristiana is an artist who grew up in Italy surrounded by art from an early age. She moved to London in her 20s to immerse herself in its contemporary art scene and eclectic energy, which became her home for 20 years. After earning a BA degree in Fine Art, she worked as an Art Technician in a prestigious North London college, where she expanded her expertise in printing, sculpture, and painting. This led to her unique style of ‘quadri materici’, where texture is the artist’s signature.

Cristiana also has a background in philosophy and psychology studies and later became a Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher. This duality and exploration of the inner and outer worlds have been major influences in her work. Embracing the philosophy of the ‘Perfect Imperfect’, her art celebrates the simplicity of everyday experiences using unconventional materials.

Now residing in the Italian countryside, Cristiana finds solace in her art studio surrounded by nature, reconnecting to her roots after two decades in a bustling city. Her latest series reflects a newfound perspective on the interplay of opposites between nature and humanity, which has always been present in her work.

Cristiana believes that making art is a process of self-discovery and growth. By expressing herself through colors and movements, she mirrors her feelings, moods, and thoughts. Making art is showing one's deepest secrets and fears, which takes courage and sensitivity.
