Being able to live in the countryside of Alentejo in Portugal in an old house we renovated, surrounded by nature, is something I am grateful for daily. It gives me peace, inspiration, all that I contemplate and feel ends up finding its way onto every painting I create. I am a self taught Artist, my career was in the IT business. I work in an intuitive way and my Art is in constant change like my emotions. I’m drawn to gestural marks, earth tones and colours I see along the seasons. I explore shapes and textures in order to articulate and form abstract images which express all that I see and feel. I consider myself a mixed media Artist as I paint with Acrylics, oils, pastels, charcoals and also local organic pigments both on paper and canvas.
