The artwork presents itself as a complex exploration of abstraction, dominated by a vibrant interplay of tones and textures. The composition is characterized by a layering of intense colors, including red, white, beige and blue, which overlap dynamically, creating depth and visual tension. The artist adopts a technique that combines thick brushstrokes and gestural spontaneity, allowing an expressive research to emerge in which the pictorial matter becomes the protagonist.

The vertical and diagonal white lines, which cross the surface, suggest a sense of movement and structure, almost as if the work were the result of a constantly evolving energy. The contrast between the more saturated and the more rarefied areas gives the whole a rhythmic quality, making the canvas a sort of space in which color becomes language.

The work is part of a pictorial tradition in which the form loses its figurative connotation to become a pure expressive means. The artist seems to want to translate emotions and inner thoughts into a visual code that invites the viewer to a sensorial and interpretative interaction. The composition, in its balance between order and chaos, stimulates a reflection on the creative spontaneity and intentionality of the artistic gesture.

Chiara De Zan (1987, Friuli Venezia Giulia) began her artistic journey in 2009, developing a research that crosses collage, painting, photography and digital arts with a material and poetic approach. Her practice is based on the use of marginal and waste materials — worn paper, damaged fabrics, natural pigments — recomposed in compositions that investigate memory, the body, fragility and the territory.
Since 2018 she has participated in group and solo exhibitions, collaborations and interdisciplinary projects, proposing works in which the analogical gesture dialogues with sensorial perception, returning narratives full of silence, waiting and transformation.
Among her most significant works are Giallo Pigro, Cavalco la Maladia, Nonno Santo and Madame Snips, works in which the tactile, visual and digital dimensions merge to tell stories of resistance and hidden beauty.
