This work is part of a group of works with a strong symbolic character and through which I explore themes such as psychology, mysticism, philosophy or even social themes..
Equazione reflects on the transience of life and the ephemeral weight of our lives. The house, understood as the place of the human, contains all existences: despite this, its weight corresponds to that of a cloud, to the lightness of the air. The cloud is the term of comparison of this equation, and is made (unique case) with small pieces of images of clouds printed on tissue paper, light and transparent. This is to emphasize the idea of ​​ephemerality.
As I said, here I used image prints for the first and only time in my collage experience, My collages are in fact made using monotypes, paintings, sketches and other kinds of signs that I make myself; this is to make unique my color palette and the textures of my iconographic universe.

She graduated in Set Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce. 

Chiara Criniti initially worked as a children illustrator, but gradually shifted her focus to editorial illustration, and since 2017, also to personal artistic work.

Psychology and  imperfection of human beings are the central themes of her artistic research. Her work focuses on the relationship between conceptual essence and symbol, and the result is a clear and synthetic narration.

The use of vibrant colors and bold contrasts, alongside the mélange of various media (acrylic, pastels, graphite, monotype, collage) enable the artist to create a complex world where reality coexists with metaphorical elements, the surreal and psychological; a world that can be interpreted in a variety of levels. The papers and supports used are often scraps, leftovers, old packaging. Chiara composes complex textures, stratified through an impulsive and necessary gesture that is accomplished in the use of collage. The imperfection of the sign underlines this urgency.
