Cara Cahusac
Born in Nairobi, Kenya in the sixties, into an artistic family. My mother would sit for hours in her studio painting, printing and making all sorts of art. One of my sisters was at that time making sprayed T-Shirts for the tourists. Went to a french primary school in Nairobi. Later went to boarding school in England. Then moved to Germany in the late 80's. Studied Textile-Design and worked until 2015 as a designer. Now owner of a small café in the woods nearby Hanover. People ask if my café is my hobby. It's not. So that's why I now sell my hobby here, to prove that I have other hobbies. On the other hand, what is work? And what is hobby? It's all the same in the end. It's time spent doing great things. When I draw on lino, I let go of all. I let the pencil do it's own thing. Then cutting along the drawn lines is intuition too.

I wrote this poem
Day to day until we go
Slowly accepting the being
here
And not being here
forever
It’s a process, a journey, a learning path
We are born to die, we come we go
There is no substitution for the time that we spend
No one to make it better again
Is that the system?
Is it a change of view?
And the aches and pains?
Are they enjoyable too?
Day to day until we go
Slowly accepting the being
here
And not being here
forever
The nitty gritty of the daily things
The sand in your shoes The damp washing
The dirt in the shower. Is it a change of view?
the smell of fresh linen, Enjoying the broom
Day to day until we go
Slowly accepting the being
here
And not being here
forever
Also hier meine ersten Werke.
