Bilyana Stoyanova is a Bulgarian artist who has been living and working in the Netherlands, since 2017.
She was born in Ruse, Bulgaria and graduated from university of “St. Kiril and Methodius” – Veliko Tarnovo, graduates in 2001 with master's degree in fine art with the class of Prof. Nikolay Ruschukliev.
She has lived and worked in Athens, Greece, for more than a decade, where she participated in exhibitions with International and Greek artists and organizations, including UNESCO.
Since 2017 she started as an independent artist and her paintings reached a very wide audience. The artist mainly works on large-scale works of art. She often incorporates mixed media into the paintings such as Metal leafing, Charcoal, Ink to give each painting a unique mood and depth. Minimalist structured landscape, palette knife and expressive brushstrokes artworks.

I’m an abstract contemporary painter aspiring to capture the beauty of nature and my dreams on canvas, offering a visual escape into a place filled with imagination and possibility.
I paint scenes of places I would like to sit and stay a while. One consistent feature in my paintings is a sense of calm, even in the stormscapes.

I have worked like a graphic designer and art teacher. While working as a graphic designer I never lost my love for painting, and I decided to start a career as an independent artist.
