He was born in Niğde in 1979. At a young age, he realized that one could not remain indifferent to the beauty of nature during a walk with his mother... His painting adventure, which began with a slap for being accused of copying due to not being able to convince his teacher of the painting he did as homework in primary school, brought him together with many master painters. He received drawing and composition education in various workshops in Istanbul. Due to financial and spiritual inadequacy, he could not continue his education, but completed it externally and won the first place in the talent exam of Hacı Bektaşi Veli Faculty of Fine Arts at Nevşehir University, earning a degree in painting. Adhering to Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar's saying "The genuine artist who avoids the easy knows that the understanding of life and events can only be granted to those who think about the human soul and try to understand and determine it," the painter tries to transform emotions, longing, and natural beauty into colors on canvas with his effort to see nature in thought. Standing out with his figure and portrait works, Bekir Üstün continues his work in his workshop in Istanbul.
